Basic Info
Name:Tevye Tsarovitch
Birthdate:11-30
Location:Brownell, Pennsylvania, United States
Bio
(Please note that this journal is completely fictional. Any resemblance to actual events, places, people, objects, creatures, foods, beverages...well, it's fake, pretty much. The character's views do not necessarily express the author's views. In other words, if he pisses you off, go somewhere else and cry about it. Nah, just kidding. I doubt this character could piss anyone off. Enjoy the show.)

Greetings. If you are mortal, you may call me William. You may shorten it to Will, if it's that much easier on you.

Then again, if you are something beyond mortal, you shall know me as Tevye Tsarovitch. If you must, you may refer to me as Tev.

I am Kithain. That is what we fae call ourselves. To be more specific, I belong to the particular kith known as sluagh. Sluagh are, traditionally, the underdwellers, or the shadows among light. My homeland is Russia, though I have never been there in this lifetime.

That's something you may or may not be familiar with. Reincarnation. I know some mortals know it and believe it. Well, for the fae, it is a fact. When our mortal shell dies, our fae soul moves on to another. How lucky we must be; if we don't get it right the first time, we get another chance.

Anyway, enough about the technicalities of Kithain existence. Surely, you came here to learn about me. While I wish you had a more fascinating subject in mind, I will tell you what I wish you to know.

First of all, you must have noticed the puppets with which I share this abode. Hand puppets, marionettes, stick puppets--they are my treasures. The well-crafted ones were gifts from my mortal father. The less-impressive ones are of my own design. Worry not, for I'll get better with practice. Puppetry is my great passion, you see. When I was younger, I was very ill. Whenever Father came to visit me in the hospital, he brought me a puppet. They helped make a difficult time bearable, even enjoyable. From then on, I decided that I would be a puppet master. I would make them, and I would perform with them. People would know my name, and in that knowledge also feel wonder. Truth be told, not much else in life can arouse such joy in my heart. So, you can see why I cling to this dream so.

What else shall I tell you? Ah, my family. My father is Simon, and he deals in antiques. He came by my first puppets honestly, yes? My mother is Julia, and she was formerly a nurse. I'm afraid I was something of a handful growing up, and she had to leave that vocation. I have one sister--Bianca. My senior by a year, she is also my lady knight. Not literally, of course. I refer to the many times she has defended me from ruffians who also frequent our school. My chronic illnesses, you see, have left me with something of a frail constitution. No matter--I haven't been killed yet, and what doesn't kill me, while not necessarily making me stronger, will certainly keep me on my toes for next time.

I've just been sent away to a boarding school. Rowan Academy. I wonder what adventures are to be had here.

I think we have spoken enough for today. Come visit again, if you are curious.
